Reviews
Excellent service from start to finish, our waitress knew all the dishes and explained them very well.
We went all out with starters, mains and desserts, the food was exceptional, one of the best meals we've had in a very long time, all the flavours were spot on, nothing bland or over powering. Lovely atmosphere and relaxing. Highly recommended and we will be back very soon for sure.
I'm from Puglia and would like to thanks Francesco for making me feel at home. Very good food and very pleasant atmosphere. I can't wait to come back in January and try the new menu!
Delicious food, good service. Waiter made me a lovely lemon and mint drink as they don't serve mocktails which was great customer service.
Me and my 11 colleagues showed up at the restaurant last week at about 10pm, without a reservation and very hungry after several rejections from other nearby restaurants that were fully booked and would not accommodate us. The team at Apulia very kindly found us a last minute table after some customers left and just after a short wait, sat us all down at the same table and let us order before the kitchen closed. We had a very lovely time and delicious dinner. Thank you for saving our evening and It has been a pleasure to meet you!
I'm a patient at St Bart's hospital and due to have major surgery in 48 hours, so this was potentially my last chance for a decent meal, and I didn't want to spend it eating hospital food. So against the hospital rules my son and I nipped around the corner to this little gem.
I had a 3-course selection from the Christmas menu which was superb. Cream of pumpkin soup with mushrooms, truffles and croutons. Beef cheek braised in red wine with apples and plums. Rounded off with a classic tiramisu. Washed down with their well recommended Vie Cave Italian Malbec.
The service was warm and friendly, the vibe cosy and busy. Just as you'd expect from a good Italian restaurant. If the surgeons do a good job, I'll be back!
Lively restaurant with a succinct menu.
However, not many vegetarian options on the menu and no vegetarian mains on the special Festive menu, which was surprising.
Ordered the pumpkin soup which hearty, thick and tasty. The generous sized vegan pizza (I asked for mozzarella in place of tofu) was sweet (from the peppers) and possibly the sauce. I’m not a fan of sweet flavours in my savoury food! I didn’t enjoy it, I’m afraid.
V busy restaurant, which meant service was slow.
Non veg diners enjoyed their meals (tagliatelle ragu, tempura prawns, sea bass) but this review is from a vegetarian perspective.
I organised a dinner for my Department with more than 20 people and it has been an absolute success. Food was amazing, great service, and overall a perfect price-to-quality ratio! Definitely reccomend and will go again.
The menu at APULIA is on the exciting end of the scale for an Italian restaurant. All the dishes I tried were very well cooked with simple flavour combinations. Special mention goes to the almond crusted sea bass with sweet peppers. Once you've added a side of roast potatoes and drink, however, it's knocking on £40 without putting much of a dent on your appetite.
The chantilly choux for dessert was a bit of a downer. Far too dense and dry. Overall, a great spot.
